Chrome extension
On your computer, the extension shows the Dobeo verdict right on the product page: no copying links, no switching tabs.
What it does
- Recognizes product pages from Amazon, Mercado Livre, Americanas, Brastemp, Consul, Compra Certa, Motorola, Philco, Britânia, Polishop, Mondial, Carrefour, Fast Shop, Electrolux, Webcontinental, Ri Happy, PB Kids, Época Cosméticos, Telhanorte, C&A, Magalu, KaBuM! by itself.
- On any other shop, click the Dobeo icon in the Chrome toolbar: it reads the open page, only at that moment, and checks the product.
- Shows a small panel with the verdict, the upfront price and the history, which you can collapse.
- Opens the full page on Dobeo so you can create an alert.
What it doesn’t do
- It doesn’t add affiliate links or swap other companies’ cookies.
- It doesn’t touch your cart, coupons or payment.
- It doesn’t read other sites or your browsing history.
Sharing prices, only if you want to
When you install it, the extension asks whether you agree to share, anonymously, the price of the product pages you open. That is how Dobeo learns the prices of stores that block automated reading. You can say no and keep seeing the verdicts, and change your mind in the extension’s options.
Permissions
Access to the pages of the supported stores (to show the panel), to the open page when you click the Dobeo icon (only at that moment) and to dobeo.com (to fetch the verdict), and local storage to remember your choice. Nothing else.
Install
The extension is under review in the Chrome Web Store. Meanwhile, you can install it manually:
- Download the extension (69 KB) and unzip the file.
- In Chrome, open chrome://extensions.
- Turn on Developer mode, in the top right corner.
- Click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.
